David Chipperfields Am Folkwang Museum in Essen uses ‘Structuran’ as a recycled glass rain screen facade. This glass rain screen facade is supplied by the Greenhouse Effect Ltd for this prestigious new Museum building in Germany.
This uses a green/white 21mm glass ceramic facade slab in 2700×1200mm formats with a natural textured sintered glass surface and Fischer undercut anchors for the point fixings.
This is the largest structuran glass facade to date and follows a small London facade in 55-69 Old Broad Street. This is unusually recycled, the recyclable material being used in a visible position, unlike so many green options that tend to hide inside alternative layered facades.
