Internal walls are constructed from timber or metal stud work, the space of which is normally packed with acoustic and thermally insulating materials. These are then covered with different types of plasterboard or wall lining according to building regulations and project specification. This can typically be drywall products or plaster coverings that can be later painted or covered in wall paper, wall panels or specialist wall coverings.
The Internal Walls and Partitions section of Wholebuild covers information on such products above as well as partition walls, room dividers and office screens; wall panels, acoustic screens and glass partitioning which can be fixed, sliding, folding or demountable in nature and can be constructed from glass, timber, composite materials or plastic.
