Glass Partitions with Internal Acoustic Partitioning Case Study

Scope of Works
Aberdeen Sports Village is a joint venture between Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeen University and Sport Scotland. The Sports Village provides Northern Scotland with state-of-the-art Olympic indoor and outdoor facilities capable of hosting international events and has already been selected as a training venue for the 2012 Olympic Games to be held in London.

Optima’s Scotland based North Offshore Lid, were chosen by Main Contractor Barr Limited to fit out the internal partitioning within the Sports Village which included Revolution which was used to achieve excellent acoustics. Optima 117 with 15mm glass and Nebula Dry joints were used for the screens to the games hall and the athletics hall. North Offshore Ltd suggested to Barr Construction to use NebuLa Dry Joints instead of silicone to give a clean aesthetic Look complete with 15mm glass.
