Green roof for Upper Boothe in Edale Green on top have recently completed a green roof in the Peak national park. The roof is on a new facilities block for Upper Boothe farm camp site, which is at the foot of Kinder Scout the highest point in the Peak. The buildings have been constructed to a high specification, in a contemporary style, but using material such as larch and local stone to blend it in to its surroundings its roof line is curved to reflect the shape of the surrounding hills. The green roof system specified by green on top contains deep growing medium to ensure the vegetation will not require irrigation or the application of fertilizers. The roof has been seeded with a blend of native grasses once established the roof shouldfit in to its surroundings very well.
