THE PROBLEM Protectahome were asked to introduce complimentary measures at Ground Floor level and in the Cellar to reduce the risk and impact of potential future flooding.
Pixton House is a glorious property located in a beautiful rural setting in Worcestershire. The property and the surrounding land suffers from the affects of significant flooding from time to time.
THE SOLUTION A comprehensive Waterproofing scheme was designed and installed by Protectahome which incorporated the use of both Drained Protection Waterproofing and Cellar Tanking. The Combined Waterproofing system extends throughout the Ground Floor and Cellar including for all walls and floors. The Waterproofing utilises 8mm and 20mm Cavity Drain Membranes from Newton Membranes, Epoxy Resin Tanking, Basedrain Perimeter Drainage Channels and a series of Sump Chambers. Into the Sump Chambers, high capacity Newton NP750 Sump Pumps were installed. All pumps work in parallel to offer maximum pumping capacity across the whole foot print of the Ground Floor and the Cellar. A range of measures were also employed to improve the property’s Flood Resilience and Flood Resistance. These included for the replacement of timber floors in solid construction, as well as the installation of Demountable Flood Protection for openings. The Waterproofing installation required a high degree of skill and care with great attention to detail. Our experienced Technicians and our Waterproofing Designer ensured that the work was completed on time and within budget. For extra peace of mind, the installation benefits from our long term Guarantee and an ongoing Protectahome Service agreement
