In all our activities we seek to prevent pollution, minimise wastage, operate to the best environmental standards practice and comply with legislation.

The following basic standards will be adhered to:-

Air – Where there is a risk of dust emissions action shall be taken to reduce these to a minimum.

No rubbish will be burnt. Plant shall be maintained to ensure optimum efficiency and clean operation.

Land – Care shall be taken to avoid polluting land with diesel, petrol, cleaning fluids or rubbish.

Water – Steps will be taken to avoid oil, fuels or solid waste from entering water systems or drains.

Raw Materials – The minimum practical quantity of each raw material should be ordered and delivered to site. Whenever customer requirements allow it recycled aggregates will be used.

Waste – All waste will be stored, transported and disposed off site in accordance with legislation and our duty of care.

Ecosystem – All precautions will be taken to ensure that activities do not damage vegetation or wildlife outside the requirements of the work being done.

Noise and Vibration – Every effort shall be made to ensure that noise and vibration is kept to a minimum by ensuring that all noise reduction equipment is in place and that the plant is sited to have the least likely effect on neighbours. Particular attention will be paid to complying with special
time and noise requirements.

Visual – Sites shall always be kept clean and tidy and free from litter both during and on completion of work.

Communications – All personnel shall be familiarised with and comply with any environmental, safety or operational requirements of a site. All personnel will co-operate fully with the customer and client’s representatives and regulatory officials.
