Introduction

Ewgeco real-time energy display devices have been designed to give householders an understanding of their utility usage. By being able to see what they consume and when, users are able to monitor and make changes to their energy consumption that will become a part of their daily routine and save money in the process.

The intuitive ‘traffic light’ display immediately shows users what their consumption levels are for each utility: green, amber and red bars indicate if the amount of energy being used at any given time is normal, moderate or high.

The Ewgeco family of products for homes includes three devices:

  • H300 EEE – monitors three channels of electricity
  • H300 ERG – monitors electricity, renewable energy and gas
  • H300 EWG – monitors electricity, water and gas

All Ewgeco monitors self-calibrate to the size of the property, number of users, and number of appliances in use. The live data indicates:

  • The actual cost of energy being consumed: using the property’s utility tariffs, the actual cost of energy being consumed in cost per hour/day.
  • The quantity of energy being consumed: in kilowatts of energy or litres of water per hour/day.
  • An overall picture of consumption: CO2 emissions in kilograms and unique ‘Ewgeco units’ – this combines CO2 and energy consumed.

For users seeking to monitor established patterns in their usage over time and drill down to detailed analysis, the My Ewgeco web portal offers historical and current data broken down into hourly, daily, weekly and monthly graphs. The monitor saves data for 13 months.
