TIMSA, has representation on BSI and CEN committees responsible for drafting standards relating to the thermal and acoustic insulation industry.

The association has played a major part in the revision of BS 5422 and BS 5970 as well as producing the TIMSA Guidance for achieving compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations.

TIMSA is involved in the debate on energy performance, improvement of household energy efficiency, sustainability and environmental issues.

TIMSA is able to monitor, lobby and represent the industry’s views on many key issues including:
